PSC INSPECTION COURSE - Ratings

Target Audience

This course is aimed at all BSM ratings involved in PSC inspections, the course aims to improve knowledge and understanding of Port State Control Inspections by understanding the various aspects of PSC inspection, including common findings and how to address these findings.

Port State Control is a rapidly and constantly changing area for shipowners, operators and maritime administrations. The course provides a thorough and clear up-to-date guide and analysis to the main port state control conventions, amendments and related codes, inspection procedures and key developments in port state control in MOU.

Course Content

On successful completion of this course, delegates will be able enable to:

  • Understand the importance of PSC inspections under various MoU’s
  • Confidently participation during PSC inspection
  • Demonstrate a professional conduct during PSC inspections
  • Demonstrate the understanding of PSC checks
  • Understand relationship between PSC and Flag State Control
