Target Audience | This course is designed to provide advanced training to Senior Navigating Officers working on vessels in polar waters and meetsthe requirements of the STCW Convention, as amended, Table A-V/4-2 and The Polar Code. Provide advanced knowledge in the limitations and safe techniques required when operating vessels in ice conditions and cold climates. Gain a detailed understanding of the regulatory requirements, safe planning and vessel operations in polar waters. Provide simulator based exercises of handling different types of vessels in ice conditions. |

Entry Standards | Chief Officer/Master rank. Completion of basic level course under STCW A-V/4-1, 2 months approved seagoing service at the management level on vessels operating within Polar Waters. |
